Dear friends,
For months, regardless of snow and winter, we have been traversing the toughest weather conditions and the most challenging landscapes in our homeland to compile the most interesting stories with the most beautiful visuals for you. During this period, we have experienced the harshest winter of the last decade and have delved into the depths of the Anatolian geography. We reached such depths that the -35 reading on our thermometer became ordinary, and we became so accustomed to the cold that we started wearing t-shirts at -10 degrees. While crossing Horasan to reach Karakurt, the entire fuel system of our vehicle froze on the way. We were unable to cross the impassable mountain passes of Artvin even with snow tracks. An avalanche fell on us in the 2-kilometer avalanche zone of Mahmutkaya Pass. We were stranded in Macahel for a week. It is impossible to remember the number of deadly accidents we have endured. We don’t even count dog bites, falling into mud while filming, frostbites, and minor injuries.
While overcoming all these dangers, we forged wonderful friendships. We detailed the interesting human stories we captured through our visuals. As a result of the ongoing shoots since December, we have completed nearly 15 episodes in Istanbul, Bolu, Trabzon, Rize, Artvin, Ankara, Sivas, Kars, and Iğdır with the great support of our friends living in those regions. In April, we will continue to visit the Western Black Sea, Marmara, and Aegean regions, and in May, we will explore the Mediterranean, Southeastern Anatolia, and Eastern Anatolia regions… Towards the end of summer, our program will continue in a magnificent geography (currently a surprise). ;)
The consultancy and content of the program is provided by me (Sedat AÇIL), Mert KİĞILI, and Oktay ONUŞ as the Gezenbilir team. The director is Serhat GENÇ from Genbar Productions. Our cinematographer is Hakan AĞSEREN, our editing director is Bahattin TAŞTAN, and our cameramen are Muammer YILMAZ and Yaser HÜKÜM. I would like to thank the entire team once again for their efforts.
And finally, we are happy to share the news of our first episode’s broadcast with you. You will watch an adrenaline-filled weekend adventure realized with extreme vehicles, the smallest of which has 35” tires, on a little-known old off-road track in the Belgrad forest, along with the skilled hands of master Orhan. I wish you all a pleasant viewing experience. I hope you enjoy it…
